Eric Jones

Eric Leonard Jones grew in a small town called Valdosta, Georgia. It was a road trip to
Disney Land that started his art career. At a gas station on the way to the happiest
place on Earth, an X-Factor comic book caught his eye. He paid the gas station
attendant and began to read the comic. The art inside intrigued him so much that he
wanted to go home and draw what he saw.

Eight years later he attended Valdosta State University where he majored in painting
and drawing. Two years after he graduated with his Bachelors degree, he attended and
graduated from California State University, Fullerton with his Master’s in Fine Art,
emphasizing painting and drawing.Eric Leonard Jones’s art has this ability to draw the viewer in as it establishes an intimate relationship with the art and the artist. He uses representational portraiture and abstraction to captivate the audience and draw them near. The process of the work is shown in almost every stage of the work which leaves the artist vulnerable.


Currently Jones is teaching at the famed CSU, Fullerton and also Saddleback College.
He also is a professional painter who shows in Los Angeles, Orange County, CA, and
Southern Georgia.
