Discovering Paul Montelongo's Espina Roja: A Unique Day of the Dead Art

Espina Roja ( Red Thorn ) is the first of my "Día de los Muertos" series. Espina Roja is deeply inspired by my Abuelita. As a young boy I loved staying over her house, helping her do the laundry or water the flowers. Those are memories I still hold on to till this day. I still can see the front of her house covered with Rose bushes as you walk unto the steps of the house on either side and all along the side of the yard.
